Avicenna is a virtual campus in higher education, managed by UNESCO and co-financed
by the European Commission (European EUMEDIS programme) in order to produce and
adapt training distance modules within 15 European and Mediterranean Universities
members. The Avicenna Quality Assurance System (AQUAS) is dedicated to the management
and the accreditation of the production, adaptation and revision process of each
training module. The Avicenna Accreditation ensures that the training modules which
are available in this network do respect the quality criterias supported by UNESCO.
